The Knife was not designed to kill but to share
I was invited to take part in a Korean art festival that is considering human rights and peace.
I met with two elder women, mother and daughter (86 and 56)
They taught me their family recipes for Kimchi. We cooked for several days in their house
In return I made for their families food that is from my own tradition.
I wrote a text that captured my vision on the status of a meal.
the title -The knife was not designed to kill but to share- comes from this text
For the festival I prepared the traditional Kimchi that was shared with the audience.
The text was translated to Korean and written down on small papers that were given together with the food.
